e-AGE25: Uniting Minds for Regional and Global Research and Education Cooperation

The 15th edition of the e-AGE Conference was successfully held in Amman, Jordan, from 1–2 December 2025, hosted by the Jordanian Universities Network (JUNet) and organized by ASREN. Under the theme “Uniting Minds,” e-AGE25 brought together leaders, experts, and practitioners from the research, education, and science communities across the Arab region and beyond.
The conference welcomed over 300 participants from 32 countries, including representatives of 24 National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), alongside researchers, policymakers, and early-career professionals. With 65 distinguished speakers, sessions covered key topics in digital infrastructures, open science, federated services, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and regional collaboration opportunities.

Participants benefited from 8 engaging sessions that fostered dialogue, knowledge exchange, and networking, while highlighting the role of women researchers and young scientists in driving innovation. Special sessions celebrated regional cooperation in open science and digital infrastructure, showcasing the impact of initiatives such as SESAME Synchrotron, Aqaba Digital Hub, and partnerships with leading global organizations including UNESCO, ORCID, DataCite, and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
A highlight of the conference was the official announcement of e-AGE26, to be hosted at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Egypt, with a presentation emphasizing the library’s role as a hub for knowledge, technology, and regional scientific collaboration. The event underscored ASREN’s ongoing commitment to fostering structured scientific cooperation across the Arab region and strengthening connections with international research communities.
e-AGE25 reflected a year of strategic partnerships, institutional engagement, and capacity-building initiatives, setting the stage for continued collaboration, innovation, and impactful research and education networks in the region.
