The Morocco Research Integrity Workshop was held virtually on Tuesday, 17 June 2025, as part of a joint initiative to promote responsible research practices and strengthen research integrity across Morocco and the wider African region.
The session brought together leading international and regional experts from organizations including CNRST, ASREN, Digital Science, Retraction Watch, PLOS, ORCID, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Morocco. Discussions focused on embedding research integrity across the research lifecycle, strengthening governance frameworks, and enhancing trust in research outputs.
The workshop attracted 1,995 participants from 30 countries, with 96% of participants joining from Morocco, reflecting strong national engagement and growing awareness of research integrity as a shared global priority.
