The Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) hosted a virtual workshop in coordination with the ORCID organization on “ORCID: A Reliable Open Research e-Infrastructures Enabler” on December 17, 2020. The workshop provided an overview of ORCID and its benefits for researchers and member organizations, highlighting the importance of ORCID in shaping the future of online research and education.
The event was aimed at all who participate in research, scholarship, and innovation, including library information specialists, research managers, national research and education network advocates, and researchers.
About ORCID:
ORCID is part of the wider digital infrastructure needed for researchers to share information on a global scale. It enables transparent and trustworthy connections between researchers, their contributions, and affiliations by providing an identifier for individuals to use with their name as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities.
